Landlords - IMPORTANT - you have less than one month now to obtain an electrical certificate or you will be breaking the law! Private landlords in NI have until 1st December 2025 to obtain an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) or risk being fined or prosecuted. Not having an EICR could also invalidate your tenancy, rent increases, notices to quit and even landlord insurance in some circumstances.
