AirBnb owners - ROI visitors up by 15%

Posted: 27/3/2026

Cross-border tourists spent a record €370m in Northern Ireland last year as visitor numbers jumped by 15%, according to a recent Irish News report. The News Letter has also reported significant growth in tourism numbers throughout late 2025 and into early 2026. That has certainly been our experience with our Belfast-based AirBnbs that we manage here at Key One Property; bookings are booming this year! The figures are set to rise further again with the all-Ireland Fleadh.

While some may predict that the war in the middle east may dampen tourism a little, others believe that it may actually cause an increase in visitors to NI. There are two reasons for that: One, UK & Ireland destinations may seem a but safer and less likley to be subject to flight interuptions and Two, with less money in people's pockets, a staycation may be a more economical option.
