Accommodation prices in Glasgow have soared for the COP20 summit, by as much as 400% according to some sources. On this basis, one AirBnB operator in the city tried to charge an extra £2000 on top of the agreed price for a stay for one American delegate. He claimed that he was "missing out" on the extra loot. This is against AirBnB's rules and when they heard about it they banned the operator from taking any COP20 bookings. It's unusual for AirBnB to take such an action, but it won't stop the host from obtaining other bookings on other sites such as Expedia and Booking.com !
