The current government (who's housing policies have created one of the worst housing crisis ever seen) have had the cheek to now blame landlords for the lack of childminders in the UK. They say that landlords are refusing to let childminders work from home, but is the allegation fair? Well, landlords who would be happy to let tenants child mind from home have to ensure that it is permitted in any head-lease and insurance policy. In most cases, covenants in head-leases and conditions within insurance policies prohibit the practice. Therefore, landlords have no choice but to say no. So UK government, why not do something about it instead of throwing mud at landlords?
