The average NI rent is now £810 per month according to PropertyPal.com, up 2.4% last quarter and 9.5% annually. The rise is mostly a result of increased and unfair landlord taxation and interest rate rises. Increased regulation has also added to the exodus of landlords from the market, shrinking the amount of private rental homes available and forcing up rents.
